Ride the ferry across Georgia Strait. Travel via Shannon Falls to Whistler. Perhaps take a one-hour floatplane flight from Victoria to Whistler (own expense).

Travel via Kamloops into the Canadian Rockies. Stop to take in views of Mt Robson, then continue on into Alberta and the scenery of Jasper National Park.

Day 9
Jasper, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise
Take in Maligne Canyon before joining the Icefields Parkway which winds through the majestic scenery of the Canadian Rockies. Visit Athabasca Falls, then stop at the Columbia Icefield. Here, board an Ice Explorer vehicle and travel onto the surface of Athabasca Glacier. Later, enjoy a stroll along the Glacier Skywalk. Enter Banff National Park and travel via the blue waters of Peyto Lake to your hotel.

Lake Louise, Banff
Travel to Banff via the picturesque Moraine Lake. On arrival, enjoy a guided tour of Banff before boarding the Banff Gondola and ascending to the top of Sulphur Mountain for panoramic views out over six mountain ranges.

Johnstone Strait
Today your ship will cruise through the Seymour Narrows and Johnstone Strait. These waters are renowned as some of the best orca whale watching sites in the world, so a trip to the bow is a must.

Day 18
Misty Fjords National Monument
Cruise into Walker Cove, one of the great bays of Misty Fjords National Monument. Part of the Tongass National Forest, take in great granite domes, forested hills and cascading waterfalls that make this area so spellbinding. Catch a glimpse of the great Alaskan brown bear that frequents this area in search for salmon in nearby streams.

Day 19
Petersburg, Le Conte Glacier
Today, cruise the Wrangell Narrows and arrive at Petersburg, a fishing harbour. Later, cruise to Le Conte Glacier. Weather and ice conditions permitting, you’ll set off by Zodiac to view the tidewater glacier up close as it winds its way down from the Stikine Icefield.

Day 20
Tracy Arm, Endicott Arm
Today, you will be able to discover the ethereal beauty of Tracy Arm Fjord as you cruise to the foot of the twin Sawyer Glaciers. Set out once more in Zodiacs and keep an eye out for calving glaciers, huge masses of ice breaking away and falling into the water.

Day 21
The Brothers, Admiralty Island
Arrive at The Brothers, an archipelago off the coast of Admiralty Island that is a photographer’s paradise. Keep on the lookout for whales, Steller sea lions and eagles. After lunch, sail to the brown bear haven of Admiralty Island.

Day 22
Tebenkof Bay, Baranof Island
At Kuiu Island, take off aboard a Zodiac and explore the glittering fjords of Tebenkof Bay, home to a variety of marine mammals. During lunch, cruise the Chatham Straits to Baranof Island; a rugged island with numerous coves, bays and inlets.

Day 23
Point Adolphus, Elfin Cove
On arrival at Point Adolphus, watch for the mighty humpback whales that spend the summer feeding here. Afterwards, travel to shore by Zodiac and enjoy time at leisure to explore.

Day 24
Hubbard Glacier
Today cruise alongside the St Elias Range. The tallest coastal mountain range in the world, the peaks are capped with snow all year round. Enter Yakutat Bay to view Hubbard Glacier, North America’s longest tidewater glacier. This evening, if weather permits, we will enter Icy Bay to see the Malaspina and Guyot Glaciers.

Day 25
Kayak Island
This morning, arrive at Kayak Island. Here, visit the cave and plaque that commemorates Captain Vitus Bering, who landed on the island’s shores in 1741. Back on board, enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure as your ship journeys north.

Day 26
Prince William Sound
Glide past the breathtaking icebergs and coves of Prince William Sound, with the intention of exploring Barry Arm and College Fjord. Later, enjoy your final night aboard with your fellow passengers.

Disembark Ship, Seward, Girdwood
Disembark your ship and travel to Girdwood. Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, then later this evening, take a tram ride to the top of Mt Alyeska, where you will enjoy dinner at Seven Glaciers Restaurant.

Girdwood, Talkeetna
Enjoy the morning at leisure before continuing your journey to Talkeetna.

Talkeetna, Anchorage, Denali National Park
After breakfast, transfer to the Anchorage Rail Depot where you will board the Deluxe Dome Rail for a scenic transfer north to Denali National Park. Upon arrival into Denali, enjoy time at leisure to explore.

Denali National Park
Spend some time today viewing wildlife and enjoy APT’s signature experiences in Denali. Later, you’ll be treated to an evening of fun, festivity and food at the Denali Dinner Theatre. Performed in an authentic log cabin, this popular show gives an overview into old-time gold rush Alaska and the region’s history.

Denali National Park, Anchorage
Return by coach to Anchorage and along the way, visit the Iditarod Museum to learn about the Last Great Race. Tonight, savour a Farewell Dinner.
