Make your way London Heathrow airport for your flight to Santiago.

Arrive Santiago (Chile)
Arrive in Santiago, the vibrant Chilean capital. Situated in the Santiago basin, this metropolis is spectacularly flanked by the Andes and enjoys one of the most magnificent settings of any city in the world. On arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Reception tonight.

Day 3
Santiago, Valparaíso
After breakfast this morning, head off to explore the picturesque port city of Valparaíso, one of the South Pacific’s most important seaports. On arrival here, set out on a sightseeing tour of the World Heritage-listed town centre, take a drive up into the surrounding hills to absorb the stunning vistas of the bay and the colourful city below. Later, return to Santiago for your evening at leisure.

Santiago, Buenos Aires (Argentina)
This morning, see Santiago’s modern and historic sites on a guided tour. Rich in history, walk around the Plaza de Armas before transferring to the airport and flying to Buenos Aires. On arrival, check in to your hotel then enjoy free time.

Buenos Aires
Your in-depth sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires begins this morning at the Avenida de Mayo. See the pink Casa Rosada (Government House), the city’s cathedral and the Cabildo, Buenos Aires’ first city hall. Later, explore the Italian-influenced barrio of La Boca and its famously colourful pedestrian street, the Caminito. You’ll also travel along Avenida 9 de Julio.

Rio de Janeiro, Iguassu Falls (Brazil and Argentina)
Fly from Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls, a system of 275 falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil. On the Brazilian side, experience the majesty of World Heritage-listed Iguassu National Park with a half-day tour. Walk through the spectacular subtropical rainforest and take in breathtaking panoramic views of the falls.

On the Argentinian side, ride the Rainforest Ecological Train to a series of walkways and viewing points. Running through the forest inside Iguassu National Park, this narrow gauge train stops at several locations including one that leads to the 82-metre-high Devil’s Throat, one of the most spectacular falls of the region. Wake early this morning, and fly to the World Heritage-listed city of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. Travel through Cusco to Chinchero, a city located in the stunning Andean highlands. Tonight, soak up the ancient Andean atmosphere and relax in comfort at the premium Aranwa Sacred Valley. This evening, enjoy dinner at your leisure.

Machu Picchu, Cusco
With the morning free, perhaps revisit Machu Picchu. Re-board the Vistadome train for your journey to Ollantaytambo station, before a coach returns you to Cusco. Enjoy a delicious Peruvian dinner and traditional folklore show at the Tunupa Restaurant Bar and Grill this evening.

Cusco
A guided walking tour through Cusco today will take you to the city’s historic heart, the Plaza de Armas. During your tour you’ll visit the sacred site of Koricancha and the Baroque church of Santo Domingo. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the atmosphere of this city.

Cusco, Lake Titicaca
Take a coach to the city of Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Along the way, you’ll stop at the small town of Andahuaylillas, known for its picturesque Sistine Chapel. You’ll also stop for a hearty buffet lunch. On arrival in Puno, this evening is at your leisure.

Relax in the morning before taking part in a guided tour of the World Heritage-listed Historic Centre of Lima. On this tour, admire one of Lima’s most religious locations, the Iglesia de Santo Domingo. Built in the 16th century, this pink convent is also the resting place for three important Peruvian saints.

Lima, Quito (Ecuador)
Today, fly to Quito, Ecuador’s charming and historic capital. On arrival, transfer to your premium hotel. Take a guided city tour, including its historic Old Town. Here, marvel at the architecture of the Plaza and Monastery of San Francisco, the Plaza de la Independencia (Plaza Grande), La Compañía de Jesús and the Museo de Arte Colonial. Enjoy the evening at leisure and experience the flavours of South America at one of Quito’s many restaurants.

Today is yours to either relax or further explore Quito independently. Enhance Your Journey: Perhaps visit the artisan markets of Otavalo and see a local weaving demonstration or stand with a foot on each hemisphere at the Equatorial Monument, which marks the exact Middle of the World (own expense).

Day 23
Quito, Galápagos Islands Cruise
Fly to Baltra Island, once a United States Army Air Force base, in the Galápagos archipelago. On arrival, transfer to your ship and enjoy a talk on the landscapes you are about to discover. After lunch, set out cruising to the fascinating Cerro Dragón region, also known as Dragon Hill, a point on Santa Cruz Island that’s home to mockingbirds, Darwin’s finches and varieties of endemic Opuntia and cactus, as well as land iguanas and flamingos. Here, leisurely stroll along a walking trail, passing brackish-water lagoons frequented by shorebirds and ducks. Following the track inland, relish in views of the bay and western islands before returning to the vessel to relax.

Galápagos Islands Cruise
After breakfast, explore the coast of Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela Island by panga (zodiac) – all whilst a naturalist guide explains the dramatic geology of the area. A nesting place for flightless cormorants, Galápagos penguins, blue-footed boobies, and green sea turtles, you may choose to snorkel along the cliffs of this sea (weather dependent). After lunch, continue to Fernandina Island, the youngest and westernmost island of the archipelago. A walk through the lush mangrove vegetation will lead you to colonies of iguanas and sea lions frolicking in the sheltered coast line.

Galápagos Islands Cruise
Disembark your ship on Santa Cruz Island at Puerto Ayora and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. Meet with a team of worldwide conservationists as you tour the facility and see giant Galápagos tortoises, as well as a range of other native creatures. The afternoon is then yours at leisure. Perhaps go hiking, biking or kayaking in Tortuga Bay, before returning to your ship.

Galápagos Islands Cruise
This morning, take a panga ride alongside Floreana Island, before continuing to Baroness Cove. Land at Post Office Bay and unearth the historic barrel that has served as a post office for over two centuries. See where postcards are traditionally left from other vessels and perhaps leave your own for future attendees. Later, board a glass-bottom boat to explore the underwater wonders around Champion Islet – known as one of the best snorkelling spots in the archipelago. Continue onwards to Punta Cormorant, where a wildlife walk provides one of the highlights of your journey. Keep an eye out for flamingos, pintail ducks and sea turtles.

Galápagos Islands Cruise, Guayaquil
Disembark your ship at Baltra Island and transfer to the airport for your flight to Guayaquil, the main port of Ecuador, as well as the country’s largest and most populous city. Enjoy a farewell dinner later this evening.
