Thursday July 25 : Day Trip to Lynchburg

Jack Daniels and Lynchburg TN

Who doesn't know Jack....Jack Daniels that is.  Tour this distillery located in the hills of middle Tennessee in a small town of about 1000 people. Lynchburg may be small but their "product" is served around the world. There are road trips and then there are pilgrimages. Come join the Pilgrimage to Lynchburg.

Lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's

Southern cuisine....no it's true Southern Cooking cooked and served family style just like it has been for more than 100 years at Miss Mary's. Mr. Jack along with just about everyone else in these parts have eaten at Miss Mary's and now it's your turn.

Friday July 26 : Day Trip to Granklin & Leipers Fork

Historic Franklin

Find your story in Franklin a beautiful historic yet contemporary town. Explore some civil war history with a visit to Carton Plantation home of the New York Times best-seller The Widow of the South or see the fine furnishings and antiques of the Lotz House or Carter House built in 1830 and caught literally in the center of the Civil War’s Battle of Franklin. Or you may just enjoy a self guided walking tour of downtown, lunch at one of the many restaurants and some shopping in the boutiques.

Leipers Fork

A quaint little village nestled off the Natchez Trace Parkway, featuring rolling hills and fire pits. Drop in the art galleries where you can sit and chat with artists for hours on end, sweet tea in hand. Stop by a pickin corner, grab a bite to eat. Most importantly, you'll experience the kind of southern hospitality you thought was long lost. (B) (L)

Nestled in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee is a unique music venue like no other. You may have seen Bluegrass Underground on PBS so now you can go into the caverns and hear for yourself the natural acoustics and see the beauty of the rock formations as you are a part of music underground. There is no place like it anywhere!

Beans Creek Winery - A Down Home Tennessee

Winery Beans Creek offers an extensive list of award-winning wines, many made from local grapes. The winery began and still operates as a family business, and remains thankful for the opportunity to be part of the small business community in southern middle Tennessee.
