Day 1
Arrive Vancouver
On arrival at Vancouver Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Settle in to your room before a Welcome Dinner.

Day 2
Your Tour Director reveals to you the city’s most beautiful attractions on a leisurely morning tour, including Stanley Park, Granville Island and English Bay. During a free afternoon and evening, you may like to wander through the old cobblestone streets of Gastown, the birthplace of Vancouver. Others may prefer to visit the shopping mecca of Robson Street.

Day 3
Vancouver, Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops
Relax in GoldLeaf Service aboard the Rocky Mountaineer as you set out for the rugged wilderness of the Canadian Rockies. Traverse the lush fields of the Fraser River Valley and gaze out at the peaks of the Coast Mountains. Pass Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and glide past rocky slopes as your train follows the Thompson River to Kamloops.

Stay: Kamloops, hotel as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer (Kamloops has limited accommodation, two or three-star hotels)

Day 4
Kamloops, Rocky Mountaineer, Banff
Settle in as your Rocky Mountaineer journey continues east towards the Canadian Rockies. Pass Shuswap Lake and follow along the South Thompson River. Travel through the Spiral Tunnels and traverse Kicking Horse Pass. On arrival in Banff National Park, disembark and head for your hotel.

Gain a true sense of the region’s beauty as you head out on your chosen activity today.

Day 6
Banff, Moraine Lake, Lake Louise
Before touring the town of Banff, board the Banff Gondola as it whisks you to the top of Sulphur Mountain. From here, enjoy views over six mountain ranges. Onwards, stop at Moraine Lake before arriving at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Day 7
Lake Louise, Athabasca Glacier, Jasper
Join Highway 93, the Icefields Parkway, and travel along one of the world’s most scenic stretches. After pausing to admire Peyto Lake, board an Ice Explorer and ride onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier. Later, stroll along the Glacier Skywalk for panoramic views. You’ll then travel via Athabasca Falls and Maligne Canyon on your way to Jasper.

Day 8
The landscapes of Jasper National Park are more beautiful than you can imagine. So too is your vantage point - a timber lodge on shores of pine-ringed Lac Beauvert. Today, you’ll discover for yourself the splendour of one of Canada’s most famous national parks on your preferred activity.

Day 9
Jasper, Vernon
Arrive today at Sparkling Hill Resort. Owned by the former head of the Swarovski crystal company and bejeweled with 3.5 million crystals, this European-style retreat is one of British Columbia’s finest.

Day 10

Follow the historic tracks of the early gold rush pioneers through the rugged Cariboo region. Make a stop at both Seton and Duffey lakes before arriving at Whistler - a destination that attracts outdoor enthusiasts.

Day 12
Whistler, Victoria
A journey along the Sea to Sky Highway takes you past mountains and via Shannon Falls on one of the most scenic drives in the country. At Horseshoe Bay, take a ferry to Vancouver Island and the city of Nanaimo. Continue by coach to Victoria. Forgo the journey by land and ferry, and take a one-hour floatplane flight from Whistler to Victoria (own expense).
