Day 1
Arrive Dubrovnik, Kotor, Embark Ship
Arrive in Dubrovnik and transfer to Montenegro and the ancient walled city of Kotor. Board your boutique Travelmarvel small ship the Princess Eleganza and settle into your cabin before enjoying a Captain’s Welcome Dinner and meet your fellow travellers and Cruise Director as you enjoy a cocktail and the city’s impressive fortifications light up after sunset.

Day 2
Awake to breathtaking views of the steep forest covered mountains that sweep down into the azure waters that form the Bay of Kotor, or Boka as it is know by the locals. After breakfast travel by coach to River Rijeka Crnojevica for a boat ride on Lake Shkoder, which divides Montenegro from Albania. Enjoy lunch and taste local wines in the lakeside village of Virpazar before making the scenic trip back to Kotor. Join a local guide this afternoon as you explore the narrow winding alleys of Kotor Old Town, perhaps climbing to the top of the city walls for staggering views of this unique Adriatic fjord and Kotor Old Town below.

Day 3
Set sail for the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, Dubrovnik, and cruise past island monasteries, ancient citadels and charming villages, before arriving in Croatia. A guided tour of Dubrovnik’s ancient Fortress begins at the impressive Pile Gate, which has stood guard at the entry of this unique Medieval Old Town for centuries. Within the city walls wander through marble paved streets and see the Rector’s Palace, Dominican and Franciscan Monasteries and the Sponza Palace before returning to your ship for dinner.

Day 4
This morning we cruise along the Adriatic coast en route to Korcula, the birthplace of the famed explorer Marco Polo. Enjoy free time this afternoon, possibly spent exploring the city’s crooked Medieval streets and elegant squares flanked by palaces of the old nobility. Later you will be able to dine ashore in the Old Town this evening as we moor overnight.

Day 5
After a day at sea passing the islands of the Dalmatian Coast, arrive at Stari Grad in the late afternoon. Cross the island for a tour of Hvar Old Town, beginning in the main square which is the largest piazza in Dalmatia, see the cathedral, the Franciscan Monastery and the Benedictine Nunnery where we hear about the aloe lace still produced today by the nuns. Return to the ship and enjoy dinner on board. You will moor overnight in Stari Grad allowing time for an after dinner stroll perhaps discovering for yourself a cosy bar or cafe.

Day 6
Spend the night on the island of Hvar, then set sail for the impressive Roman city of Split. Nowadays Split is a unique mix of ancient and modern and today you will explore the Palace of Diocletian, built by the emperor in 295-305 AD as his retirement villa. Much of this large building is well preserved and the palace contains Split’s old town within its walls, making it the only Roman palace that has been continuously inhabited since Roman times. Tonight you can explore this vibrant Dalmatian city as we moor close to the centre of town overnight, perhaps dining at one of the fantastic restaurants on the Riva Promenade.

Day 7
Krka National Park, Sibenik
Your ship’s Captain sets a gentle pace this morning as you sail towards Sibenik and the stunning Krka National Park. Cruise deep into this fjord-like landscape and disembark to discover multiple cascades that flow into crystal blue waters. Return to the Princess Eleganza and cruise to Sibenik. Enjoy an early evening walking tour through the historic town before dinner on board.

Day 8
Zadar, Zrmanja Gorge
After a morning cruising you arrive at Zadar, a city which once rivalled Venice as the most important city on the Adriatic Coast. Today Zadar boasts well historic buildings, sandstone city walls and pleasant town squares. A short coach-ride away you come to the Zrmanja River, which runs through the imposing Zrmanja Canyon before flowing into the Adriatic. Board a motor launch for a cruise on the River Zrmanja to Obrovac where you can taste some local specialties before returning to Zadar. Enjoy dinner ashore tonight as your ship stays moored close to an array of charming restaurants and bars.

Day 9
Zadar, Rab
Enjoy a walking tour of Zadar this morning before sailing for the island of Rab. This afternoon you will enjoy some time at leisure and an early evening guided walk through the picturesque Old Town, a perfectly preserved late Medieval Adriatic settlement squeezed into a slender peninsula. You will have the opportunity this evening to dine ashore to sample one of the many local restaurants as you moor overnight in the harbour.

Day 10
Your final day on board begins with a cruise to Opatija, arriving during the early afternoon for a guided walk through the town. Spend the rest of the day is then at leisure, before a Captain’s farewell dinner this evening aboard your ship.

Disembark Ship Opatija, Depart Zagreb
After breakfast disembark your ship for the final time and transfer by coach to Zagreb airport for your onward flight.
